Shure SM86 Review: Shure SM86-LC Cardioid Condenser Vocal Microphone. This Mic sounds incredible and I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that it absolutely can't be used in any kind of windy condition at all- EVEN with a good windscreen. I have been performing outside venues in Hilton Head, SC for the last 19 yearsand if the wind is blowing more than 10 mph I put the mic away and get out my Rode mic.
