I was looking for a decent vise for my art projects and I first bought the Stanley MaxSteel 83-069 Multi-Angle Vise (ASIN:B000UOJF66) - it had decent reviews. However, after returning 2 different defective vises from Stanley (the vise warbled as it closed and opened because of a warped center-pin), I had to go with a different brand - PanaVise did not disappoint.
